Damage & Transit Damage Policy

At Navyaceramics (Legal Entity: ARTNSTONES), we take every precaution to ensure safe handling and delivery of our products. This Damage Policy explains how damaged goods are identified, reported, and resolved.

This policy applies to tiles (wall & floor), stone cladding, brick cladding, pebbles, installation accessories, designer basins, and kitchen sinks purchased from www.navyaceramics.com.


1. Industry Handling Disclaimer

Due to the fragile nature of ceramic and stone products, minor transit damage of up to 2–3% of the total order quantity may occur during handling and transportation.

Such minor damage is considered industry-standard and may typically be used for cutting, skirting, or edge applications.

If visible breakage exceeds this threshold, customers may raise a damage claim as outlined below.


2. Inspection at Delivery (Important)

Customers must inspect products at the time of delivery.

For designer basins and kitchen sinks:

  • Approval or rejection must be communicated immediately to the delivery personnel.

Any visible damage must be reported:

  • Before installation

  • Before cutting

  • Before usage

Failure to inspect products at delivery may affect eligibility for replacement or refund.


3. What Qualifies as Damage

Damage includes:

  • Breakage exceeding 2–3% of total order quantity during transit

  • Visible cracks, chips, or fractures

  • Incorrect product, design, color, or finish delivered

  • Manufacturing defects affecting usability

  • Physical defects impacting installation or function


4. How to Raise a Damage Claim

Damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

To submit a claim, customers must provide:

  • Order Number

  • Product Name / Design / Color

  • Description of the issue

  • Clear photos and/or videos of:

    • Damaged product

    • Outer packaging

5. Resolution Process

After receiving your complaint:

  • Our team will review the submitted evidence

  • A site inspection may be arranged if required

  • Claims are reviewed within 2–5 business days

If the claim is approved, one of the following resolutions may be offered:

  • Replacement of damaged product(s)

  • Partial or full refund (if replacement is not feasible)

  • Store credit or alternate resolution (if applicable)

Refunds, if approved, will be processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method.

Final resolution is determined after verification and approval.


6. Replacement Eligibility Conditions

A claim will be considered valid only if:

  • Reported within the 48-hour timeframe

  • Visual evidence is provided

  • Products are unused, uninstalled, and unaltered


7. Exclusions (Not Eligible for Claims)

Claims will not be accepted for:

  • Damage caused after delivery due to mishandling

  • Products that are installed, cut, or used

  • Claims raised after the reporting period

  • Improper installation or maintenance issues

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Lighting-based color perception differences

  • Natural batch or shade variations

  • Incorrect measurements provided by customers


8. Batch Variation Disclaimer

Batch variation refers to natural differences in shade or tone between production batches. This is common in tile manufacturing.

Customers are advised to place the entire required quantity in one order.

Batch variation does not qualify as damage or defect.


9. Warranty Terms

Tiles / Stone / Brick Cladding:

  • Claims must be reported before installation.

  • Installation must stop immediately if a defect is noticed.

Designer Basins:

  • No warranty unless explicitly mentioned.

Kitchen Sinks:

  • Covered under manufacturer warranty (where applicable).

  • We assist customers in coordinating with the manufacturer.


10. Samples Policy

All samples are chargeable and non-refundable.
